Vulnerability Scanning
for Texas Businesses

A fast, affordable picture of your attack surface. Find out where you stand before an audit, before a full pentest, or before something goes wrong.

What we do

Your attack surface, mapped and rated

A vulnerability scan uses industry tools to identify known weaknesses across your systems, then we manually review and verify what the scanner finds. That last part matters: automated scanners produce false positives. We filter those out so your report only includes real issues.

You get a risk-rated findings report that tells you what was found, how serious each issue is, and what to do about it. Every finding is explained in plain English so you don't need a technical background to understand what you're looking at.

Typical turnaround is 3 to 5 business days from scan start to report delivery.

Scan vs. pentest

Understanding the difference

Both services exist for different situations. A scan is often the right starting point. A pentest goes deeper.

Vulnerability Scan
  • Identifies known vulnerabilities in your systems
  • Automated scanning with manual verification
  • Faster turnaround and lower cost
  • Good baseline for businesses starting out
  • Useful before audits and compliance reviews
  • Many clients scan first, remediate, then pentest
Penetration Test
  • Actively attempts to exploit what it finds
  • Manual testing by people, not tools
  • Deeper investigation, longer engagement
  • Required for PCI DSS, often expected for SOC 2
  • Shows what an attacker could actually do
  • Starts at $4,500 for external testing

Who it's for

A fast first step for Texas businesses

No prior security assessment
If you've never had any security assessment, a vulnerability scan is a low-cost, fast way to find out where you stand. It gives you a prioritized list of issues to address before considering a full pentest.
Before an audit or compliance review
Heading into a PCI, HIPAA, or SOC 2 audit? A vulnerability scan helps you find and fix obvious issues before an auditor does. It's also documentation that you're actively managing your security.
Cyber insurance applications
Some carriers ask about recent security assessments during the underwriting process. A completed vulnerability scan with a findings report is documentation that you know your risk posture.
Between annual pentests
If you do a full pentest annually, a vulnerability scan in between is a cost-effective way to catch new issues that emerge from patches, configuration changes, or new systems.
